Miracle on 34th Street

Miracle on 34th Street - Valentine Davies I have my grandfather's copy of this, from 1947. I first read it when I was 10, before I'd seen the movie. I didn't know until recently that the movie script came first, and then the screenwriter made it into a novella to be released at the same time as the film. I wonder if that has happened to any other film? Anyway, I loved the story and I still do. I know it's sentimental, but it's a big part of my childhood and I cherish the copy I have.
