The Odor of Violets (Duncan Maclain #3)

The Odor of Violets (Duncan Maclain #3) - Baynard Kendrick

I have only vague memories of this mystery from my heady mystery-devouring phase in my 20s, but I'm thinking I might need to re-read it as my new interest in the past few years is books about and during the war years in England and the U.S., with a particular focus on the aftermath of each war on both women and returning vets. This detective has been blinded during WWI and yet continues his job despite that.
