I read this in one evening. It's definitely a page-turner. I didn't, however, enjoy it as much as the first one. This one had more ghosts-and-monsters kind of action, less science, and fewer of the fun historical references I obsessively looked up in the first novel. That said, I still enjoyed it. If there were further ones though, I probably wouldn't read them.
