Foreign Affairs - Alison Lurie I enjoyed the story. It reminded me very much of the many David Lodge novels I've read, although it was nice to have as the central character a woman who is older, independent, intellectual, plain, and yet still sexually active. Lurie didn't feel compelled to make Vinnie "still beautiful." I was a little surprised it won a Pulitzer. It seemed more like a summer read to me.
